OPPORTUNITY
This was a great opportunity to face the unknown and to be open to great things that came our way.
Opportunity to give!
Opportunity to receive!

Home Sweet Home

Back home!
Tired little duck.
Tired Trishy.

Dirty little car...time for a wash, Rouge!
And a catch up with Trish's two beautiful girls for dinner at the Veggie Bar!
Celebration time!

Warrnambool's Angel

The most popular angel.
A must see when next in Warrnambool.

Look closely. What do you see?

Boogie boarding @ Warrnambool beach

Arrived in Warrnambool at 3.30 on Monday 13/1
Bathers on, rashie on and boogie board ready...time to hit the surf after a long drive.
Trish was riding the waves...first time ever! She surprised herself by catching a few good waves riding all the way into shore. What a little 'surfie'.
Some good friends to help Trish in the surf!

Border Crossings-2014

 We're going to South Australia....YIPPEE!!

'Bye-bye South Australia....hello Victoria!

Our road tripping is coming to an end.
One stop  before we head home.
Surfing at Warrnambool!

Naracoorte Caves

Trish left Pt Elliot at 6 in the morning (what a bright spark!) so it was fitting to have her first stop at the Naracoorte Caves...
..to get out of the 40+degree heat!
and check out Alexandra Cave, which came highly recommended.
Alexandra Cave...the prettiest cave!
Good timing when we arrived for a 10.30 tour too!

The fairytale castle-reflected in the water.

Can you see Gandalf's profile? Look again.
Our guide turned off the lights when we got right down to the base of the cave.
And boy..oh..boy...it was dark!
Time to leave Naracoorte Caves.
What a brilliant visit.
Well worth checking out the website below as well as a visit.

Back on the barge

Crossing the Murray River at Wellington and time to head on home!

In and around Goolwa

Ok we are back on the mainland and a Goolwa Sunday trip calls.
Goolwa market was on again and Trish made a mad dash to the pie stand and got herself a venison pie. She's got that taste for some gamey meat....mmmm.
Anyway...let's check out Goolwa!
OMG! the mouth of the Murray River.

Another view of the Murray River.

Goolwa Barrage ..Murray River...
salt water on my right and freshwater on my left. How cool is that?

Trish's favourite bird....the pelican..swimming for fish around the barrage.
Goolwa Beach..great shots...love the blue skies!

Do we need to leave KI?

The ferry is coming! The ferry is coming!

Hide! Quick! Maybe they won't see us!

Last night on KI -Penneshaw

Township of Penneshaw with the ferry way in the background.
 A tiny, tiny white speck.
Our last night on KI. One more sleep and back on the mainland. Some great memories and wonderful opportunities to see some of the island's offerings when rolling with the punches. Trish was always talking and saying hi to travellers and locals alike. Gee she is a friendly type....always happy and smiling...suppose holiday does that.
She learnt some history about the island, took in a tour had a couple of beach days, spotted dolphins and wallabies on her morning walk ...especially on the last day.
All good things must come to an end!

Use the link below to find some more information about KI....well worth a discovery and a visit.

KI Sunset

...just magnificent!...

Our last night on KI.....our holiday... in a holiday... in a holiday...lol!

Animal Friends

Trish was not the only one making friends.....I also had fun making friends on the mainland and on KI.
Although meeting a pesky possum at the sunken garden,
Mt Gambier, was no friend.

More foe than friend!
Greetings to my stumpy tailed lizard.
 Stealing a kiss....almost!
Just hanging out.
Someone got their feathers ruffled!
Oh no.....who's been a bad boy?
What...is....he....doing to that poor sheep?
No-one's looking.....mmmmmwa!
I think I won that staring comp!
Yes.....I...did!
Prickly little critter! Stand back!
Urgh!
That was a bit scary!
Now that is r-e-a-l-l-y scary!

What a cutie!
Found the first penguin on KI.
Dolphins in the wild.... just having fun!
Wallaby spotting on our last morning walk with Trish on KI...yay!
